Regional Directorate of Labor and Employment Promotion ratifies illegality of the strike called by Antamina Labor Union
- Antamina urges those who continue to stay on strike to return their jobs, in order to avoid any impact on their income.
The Regional Directorate of Labor and Employment Promotion ratified the illegality of the strike initiated by Antamina Worker’s Union (SUTRACOMASA) on November 10th. In the light of such event, the company appeals to those who decided to form part of this protest, that was partially obeyed, to return to their jobs in order to avoid any further impact on their salary income (salary, December bonus, productivity bonus, perfect assistance bonus, CTS, profit sharing).
As usual, Antamina maintains an attitude of openness and understanding but firm determination with respect to its convictions and transparency in its proposals. For this reason, we wish to inform you that we continue to maintain the offer we made before the strike to grant loans in favorable conditions to those who need to attend to certain obligations that they may have assumed. Those employees who are interested in this loan and are currently working are invited to visit the Offices of the Human Resources Department on Monday, November 24th.
At Antamina, the way to resolve issues has always been through constructive dialogue without pressure. This has been and shall continue to be part of our culture. Let us look to the future with a vision of positive development for everyone.
We invite Union leaders to cease their protest to initiate a dialogue without pressure or restrictions, just as the company’s policy has always been.
