- The productive activities of the company continue, within the framework of a contingency plan, which has been adhered by more workers
The Dirección Regional de Trabajo (Regional Office of Labor) has declared illegal the strike initiated on November 10 by the Labor Union of Antamina (SUTRACOMASA), which has been partially obeyed.
The document issued by the labor authority states that the SUTRACOMASA strike is irregular; therefore, it corresponds to declare it illegal. In view of this situation, the company calls to reflection to those who chose to be part of this measure of force, which was partially obeyed, for them to return to their daily activities in order to avoid contingencies that may affect their labor status. «At Antamina we believe in dialogue and reflection. Let us look to the future and let us continue working together for our families and for the development of Ancash and Peru», said Silvio Brigneti, Vice President of Human Resources and Security.
Production continues. This is done within the framework of a contingency plan that more workers have joined. The company has communicated its public acknowledgment to this group of workers.
