Antamina is a poly-metallic mining complex that produces copper, zinc, molybdenum, silver and lead concentrates. The mine is located in the District of San Marcos, Province of Huari, Ancash Region, and 200 km from the city of Huaraz with an average altitude of 4,300 m.a.s.l. The company also has a shipping port in Punta Lobitos located in the coastal Province of Huarmey.
Our company has made one of the largest mining investments in the history of Peru: US$ 3.6 billion which includes the investment made for the expansion of its operations. In addition, currently we are one of the largest Peruvian producers of copper and zinc concentrates and one of the ten largest in the world in terms of production volume.
We are a company organized under Peruvian Law with Peruvian workers who contribute each and every day to make Peru a better country. In addition, our company came into existence as the product of a strategic partnerships between four leaders of the global mining industry.
