• Suppliers must send their quotations or budgets to
the Purchases and Contracts area. Quotations must not be sent
to internal clients of Compania Minera Antamina SA.
• Relationships between Compania Minera Antamina S.A.
and suppliers and contractors must be ruled by ethics, according
to the principles of: Probity, honesty and integrity, transparency,
equity and professionalism.
• Logistics personnel may not take undue advantage
of their bonds with the company or from the information obtained
from it for personal benefit, the benefit of their family
or any other particular person.
• The Logistics Department will maintain instances
and an adequate climate of accessibility and trust so suppliers
and contractors may denounce discriminatory conducts or lack
of ethics. Nevertheless, at the same time it trusts that this
instance is not used as an easy resource to discredit those
who have legally made a decision that might have affected
some supplier or contractor.
• Suppliers and contractors must not resource to illicit
means or to ethically questionable conducts to achieve from
the Logistics personnel any type of preference or favors.
In the event conducts were detected tending to violate objectivity
and equity that must prevail in actions and decisions of its
personnel, Compania Minera Antamina S.A. will suspend its
commercial relationships with the companies that have incurred
in such practices.
• Compania Minera Antamina S.A. will demand contractors
to work ethically within the premises of the company to perform
works or services. Even when the contractor expressly states
that he has no responsibility or any type of dependence bond
with third parties’ personnel who, due to contracted
services, must work in its premises. Compania Minera Antamina
S.A. will demand the employers of such personnel faithful
compliance with enforceable labor legislation, as well as
keeping conditions and standards at the same level as Compania
Minera Antamina S.A., in safety and risk-prevention matters.
• Payment for services (contracted) or service orders
will be made once they are finished at the satisfaction of
Compania Minera Antamina S.A. This includes monthly appraisals
for services that last more then one month.
• The payment policy of Compania Minera Antamina S.A.
to its local suppliers and contractors is after 30 days.
• The payment policy of Compania Minera Antamina S.A.
to its foreign suppliers and contractors is after 60 days.
