San Marcos / Mine
Antamina’s office of Community Relations / Community Development
works in two districts with a population of 26,000 distributed
among 27 communities in San Marcos and nine sectors near the
operations area.
Strategies to achieve a positive impact include attracting
external capital, strategic alliances and the involvement
and commitment of all areas of the company, such as local
hiring, local purchases and the demand for regional services
and integration.
Management of the office of Community Relations / Community
Development is based on open, transparent communication, accompanied
by a training process and participation by the State and independent
