Corporate social responsibility implies accountability and ownership of a social license by all management. Respect for the environment is also considered important. Since its project stage, Antamina has been recognized by different institutions as a model company for its social and environmental management. In this section, we would like to mention some awards which honor us because they reflect work shared by the company and its surrounding area.

	Prize for “Business Creativity” awarded by Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas, in the years 2001 (category “Care of the Environment”) and 2002 (category “Decentralized Company”).
	Second place for the best technical work in the XXV Convention of Peruvian Mining Engineers, (2001), for Antamina’s support of the Huascarán National Park, in partnership with the Mountain Institute.
	Social Responsibility Prize, awarded by SASE / Perú 2021 / Universidad del Pacífico (2001 & 2002). First place among mining companies with the best management of social responsibility policies.
	Social Responsibility Prize, awarded by SASE / Perú 2021 / Universidad del Pacífico (2000). First place in the ranking of national companies that best manage their external environment.
	Social Responsibility Prize, awarded by SASE / Perú 2021 / Universidad del Pacífico (1999). First place in the general ranking of companies with the greatest participation in the management of social practices (inside and outside the company).
