The environmental training program is intended to inform and teach Antamina’s employees, strategic partners and contractors the importance of taking care of the environment in everyday work to improve job performance and the quality of life.
This program includes the publication of articles and educational material and continuous training through practical work. It consists of several training modules, as follows: Solid Waste Management, Environmental Management Procedures, Environmental Induction, Environmental Monitoring and Control Program, Mining Restoration, Interpretation of the EHS&C Policy, First Response to Spills, 5-minute briefings, etc.
Environmental Department employees, as part of their professional training, attend conferences and seminars on technical, legal and regulatory issues related to the environmental field.
Seeking alignment with their professional and employment profile, employees receive permanent training in their work shifts, as determined by the Department or Area they work for.
