To offer quality education on par with the best schools in
the capital city of Lima, Antamina inaugurated the Huascarán
school in 2000. The school is for all the children of employees,
officials and workers, and averages 350 students.
The school is divided into national and international sections.
The international section is sponsored by the International
School Services (ISS), a prestigious entity that has been
providing international education in 60 countries for the
past 40 years. The Santa Maria Community Educational Association
directs the national section, which is also responsible for
several educational centers in the country (San Pablo University,
Instituto del Sur, as well as Villa Caritas and San Pedro
schools, among others). |
